Location
The SouthYard Cottages are on the edge of the
picturesque village of Dunwich, surrounded
by forest and heath on one
side, and Dingle marsh and the sea on the other. The
beach is a five-minute walk from the cottages and
is excellent for swimming. Dunwich has a tiny museum, which
chronicles the mediaeval town's disappearance under the sea.
It has an excellent pub which serves food,
and a café which is famous for its fish and chips.
There is also a nursery garden and tea
room next to the cottages.

Dunwich Beach
South Yard cottages are ideal for summer and winter
holidays, good insulation and underfloor
heating make them very cosy and warm. There are miles
of walks from the front door, along the beach or the cliff,
and in the woods. There is also is the Phoenix
Healing Centre and complementary health
clinic on site, so holidaymakers can enjoy a massage
or a yoga session.
The village of Walberswick, which can be
walked to along the beach or across the marsh, has a long
sandy beach, a charming village and excellent pub
food. Just beyond it is the famous town of Southwold,
also unspoilt with great charm and very good
local restaurants. Good shopping and supermarkets
